What Is K-Laser Therapy?
K-Laser is a form of Class IV therapeutic laser treatment that delivers selected wavelengths of light to the treatment area.
The therapy is intended to influence cellular processes associated with circulation, inflammation and tissue repair. Because treatment is non-invasive, there are no injections or surgical procedures involved.
At Midtown Wellness Clinic, K-Laser is used following clinical assessment and, where appropriate, incorporated into a personalised treatment and rehabilitation programme.
Conditions We May Treat
Depending on your assessment and individual circumstances, K-Laser Therapy may be considered for a range of musculoskeletal problems, including:
Back and neck pain
Shoulder pain and rotator-cuff problems
Tendinopathies
Achilles tendon problems
Tennis and golfer’s elbow
Muscle strains
Ligament sprains
Sports injuries
Knee pain
Plantar heel pain
Soft-tissue injuries
Overuse injuries
Joint and musculoskeletal pain
How Does K-Laser Therapy Work?
K-Laser Therapy uses red and near-infrared light in a process known as photobiomodulation (PBM). Light at specific wavelengths is delivered to the treatment area, where it interacts with cellular processes associated with metabolism, circulation and inflammatory signalling. Treatment parameters are selected according to the area being treated and the individual clinical presentation.
